Pepys Monster 08/01/20 11:10:35 AM #1	In 2017, I was renting a tiny room in an expensive city. I had no car. I was so depressed, it was difficult to get out of bed. I knew I had to make a change. I took a chance and moved to another city with cheaper rent. I got a new job, was able to rent a big room, saved up and got a car, and now I own a condo. In 3 years, I turned it all around. Yesterday, I got a $55 Casper pillow. I like it better than the memory foam, but the soft outer layer flattens and the pillow goes from big to thin. --- GOML

Even on iOS, which has very strict rules about what can run in the background, Facebook added a loophole where it streams silent audio in the background all the time because that's something that iOS does let background apps do, and while it is streaming this audio it is also accessing the microphone if you ever gave it permission to, which most people have because of speech to text. Recently my wife and I had a conversation, in person, about how our dog is getting old and we needed to purchase some dog stairs or something to help her get up on the bed. Two days later I started getting ads for dog stairs on Facebook. A month ago I was talking to a friend on the phone and he said he had been diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I still get daily ads on Facebook about Crohn's disease treatments. I don't know if it's just become more noticeable lately or what, but it's super blatant So the Facebook app on people's phones is always listening and logging words it hears?
